Temperature Anomalies Predictions for the Years 2010 to 2020

The slides below show projections of air and sea surface temperature anomalies till 2020 for nine areas of the globe. The prediction models were obtained from public data by non-experts in climatology using the KnowledgeMiner (yX) software. Much more knowledge can be revealed from this data. We would like to encourage everybody who is concerned to take this and/or other data and build prediction models for different geographical areas (global, regional, local) and time scales (yearly, monthly). The final goal and vision of this project to produce a global grid of interconnected prediction models which may help answer what-if questions and scenarios.

Climate change shows the power of mankind in two very different ways:

1. It appears as a species we have by our activities, unwittingly altered the weather of the entire planet.

2. We have advanced to the point of being able to measure, analyze, model and predict the global and subtle changes we are producing.

KnowledgeMiner is a new tool that YOU or anyone can use to model climate change. Use KM on any data (not just climate data) to model and predict.

View the slideshow to see what KnowledgeMiner revealed from climate data. We were surprised by the results.
